Considering that handbags are my number one fashion addiction, it’s impressive that I haven’t added a new beauty to my collection in almost a year. Is that possible? As I type those words, it hard to believe that it’s true. Years ago I made a commitment to quality over quantity, subscribing to Vivienne Westwood’s quote: “Buy less, choose well.” I want pieces that will be in my wardrobe for seasons and years to come, that I will continue to reach for because I love them, and that I may one day hand down to my daughter. I’ve been devoted to my Stella McCartney Falabella for years and still love it as much as the very first day I put it on my shoulder. I also have a few Alexander Wang bags that I adore. At the moment, I’m carrying a Jerome Dreyfuss Raoul bag that one of my stylist friends picked up at a sample sale. I love them so and switch often depending on the season and my mood. Almost all of them are roomy bags so I can tote around everything I need for myself and my littles. This time, I’m coveting something smaller. A bag that’s big enough for a few essentials, easy to carry and easy on the eyes. These beauties from Forward by Elyse Walker are on my spring wishlist. It’s hard to choose a favorite but if I must, it would be the Chloe Marcie in Fresh Mint. The color is amazing and I love the subtle details. It’s classic, timeless and versatile. Yes, please! But the Proenza wallets… big enough for my phone and essentials and can also be tossed into a larger bag… and that Lim. They are all stunning and I’d be happy to have any (dare I say all?) of them in my wardrobe.
