Whenever I head to LA, I stay at the Avalon in Beverly Hills. It’s low-key, relaxing, and super stylish—thanks in part to the gorgeous interiors by Kelly Wearstler. That’s where, years ago, I was first introduced to Wearstler’s design work and have been a fan ever since. Her latest collaboration with visual artist Shantell Martin is edgy, chic, and totally unique. The collection consists of Wearstler’s most iconic design pieces—her Little Kiss Lips and the Brea ottoman, for example—featuring Martin’s trademark black and white line art. Raw, yet refined, these pieces will make any living room feel modern, cool, and cultivated. As for me, I can’t wait to get my hands on one of the ultra-hip tanks featuring Martin’s original art inspired by Wearstler’s sculptures. Check out this video from T: The New York Times Style Magazine to learn more about the collection.
